ELIGIBILITY SUMMARY

 

To be considered for this studio tour and art show, you must be a practicing artist with studio or primary residence within a 12-mile radius of the main intersection in Greenville, NY (Routes 32 & 81). Additionally, you must be a member of Arts Around Greenville.

No problem - we have options for you. Keep reading and please apply!

 

We have limited public and private gallery locations where you and your art can be hosted. 

​

You must be an Arts Around Greenville Member to apply. The cost is $10 for a one-year membership to a wonderful non-profit community organization.

​

Both the membership payment and Studio Tour Application fee must be received by 2/15.  

APPLY IN 4 EASY STEPS

1. You must be a member to apply. Become a Member of Arts Around Greenville for $10. 

​

 

 

 

2. Review & Select the tour participation option that is right for you - Studio Tour Artist or Group Tour Artist. Keep scrolling down this page for details on both options. 

​

3. Apply by completing the Studio Tour Application located on this page. 

​

4. Submit images of 2 pieces of work under 24" in any direction, unless free standing sculpture OR 1 image of work over 24" by 2/15. And, submit the $10 application fee by the 2/15 deadline.

Step 2:
Review Options & Select One

Option One: 
Studio Tour Artist

For artists with a desire to promote their studio space by welcoming the public into it. The artist should have a strong, abundant body of work as guests will expect an art experience. Demos of work, behind the scenes information, techniques, and inspiration are encouraged. 

 

FEE: $70

 

BENEFITS:

  • One to two works of art will be included in Preview Show at The North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Town Park on May 7th, 2 to 5, and from May 7th - 22nd. Preview show will include live music and refreshments.  

  • Work will be included in promotional slideshow at Preview Show.  

  • Artist's studio location will be published on Studio Tour Map along with one image of work, artist's contact information, website and social media links.

  • Navigational tour signs will be provided.

  • Artist work will be promoted on social media, Studio Tour website, and other publications.

  • There will be no commissions on studio sales, 15% suggested donation of sales from the North Barn to AAGST / CPOG.

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide 2 images of work under 24" in any direction, unless free standing sculpture, OR 1 image of work over 24". (For the North Barn Show, you must drop off the pieces that were submitted in application photos. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE.)

  • Format: jpeg or png of 3mb or less

  • Name each image file with the artist and title.

  • Include your name and AAGST in the subject line

  • In the email body, include a list of the piece(s) including Title, Artist, Medium, Price so art work can be labeled.

  • Include or attach a short artist statement about your work in general.

 

ADDITIONAL ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Welcome a committee member into your studio prior to the event for safety and accessibility inspection. A committee member will contact you to schedule this visit.

  • Keep studio open for the duration of the Studio Tour.

  • Drop off ready-to-hang work from application at the North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Park on 5/5 between 5pm  - 6:30pm or 5/6 between 1pm - 3pm.

  • Attend Preview Show at the North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Park on 5/7, 2 - 5pm.

  • Maintain open studio hours for the duration of the Studio Tour: 5/20 & 5/21, 11am - 5pm.

  • Pick up unsold work at the North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Park on 5/24, 3pm - 6pm.  

Option Two: 
Group Tour Artist

Do you have a strong body of work, but your studio space is not accessible to the public? This is your category. We have public and private spaces for group shows. The Greenville Library Art Gallery, for example, has wonderful space for hanging artwork, including lighting and a constant influx of viewers due to the community nature of the space. 

 

FEE: $70

 

BENEFITS:

  • Tour work will be shown in a local group location, such at the Greenville Library Art Gallery in Greenville, NY. 

  • One to two works of art will be included in Preview Show at The North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Town Park on May 7th, 2 to 5, and from May 7th - 22nd. Preview show will include live music and refreshments.  

  • Work will be included in promotional slideshow at Preview Show.  

  • The group show location will be included on Studio Tour Map along with image of work, artist's contact information, website and social media links.

  • Navigational tour signs will be provided.

  • Attend Preview Show at the North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Park on 5/7, 2 - 5pm.

  • Be present at the group Studio Tour location for the duration of the Studio Tour: 5/20 & 5/21, 11am - 5pm.

  • Pick up unsold work at the North Barn at George V. Vanderbilt Park on 5/24, 3pm - 6pm.  

  • Take down and remove unsold work from group Studio Tour location at dates / times specified in a confirmation email you will receive.

Email your art submissions by clicking button below, or send to artsaroundgreenville@gmail.com with your name and AAGST in the subject line.

 

IMPORTANT:  In the body of the email, please indicate which Studio Tour option you prefer (Studio Tour Artist or Group Tour Artist). Each submitted image .jpg or .png file should be named using the artist's name and title of the work. 

 

You must follow our standard guidelines for submitting images: .jpg or .png format, no larger than 3MB, in focus and cropped.

After you have made your submission, a committee member will reach out via email to inform you of your application status.
